Simple-to-Complex Sequence
Teach simpler content before teaching more complex content. The simpler content may or may not be a direct prerequisite for teaching the more complex content. If not a direct prerequisite, the goal of presenting the simpler content first is to allow the learner to become more familiar with the domain (the general subject area) of the content.
Example
A driving course teaches parallel parking after teaching how to turn on the lights and use the windshield wipers, because parallel parking is a more complex skill. Turning on the lights and using the windshield wipers are not prerequisites for learning parallel parking. However, they are simple tasks that allow the learner to get accustomed to the domain of driving.
