Exposure Sequence

Getting the learner familiar with material that will be taught formally at a later time. Material may be exposed repeatedly across multiple blocks of content. Following are examples of how exposure can be done:

  • Summarizing/providing an overview the exposed material

  • Indirectly referencing the material, such as showing a pattern of data from which the rule (the general idea) can be inferred.

Example

The Count From 10 to 120 module uses the exposure principle to make the learner familiar with the place value concept, which is taught formally at a later time.
